Jesus is the first step on your faith journey.

Placing your faith in Jesus as your Savior is the way to begin a relationship with God. It is also how it continues. He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6).

People are saved by Jesus' work and not their own.

Man's good works are the result of salvation; they don't in any way earn or achieve it. It is through trust in Jesus that we are forgiven and freed. Jesus is the only connnection between God and us. A Christian's salvation rests totally on God's grace working for us and in us through faith in Jesus.

We invite you today to discover or rediscover what Jesus can mean in your life.

To contact one of our pastors or get more information about beginning a relationship with Jesus, join us this Sunday at 10:30 AM.

You can also email ( or call / text (904.464.0720) us with any questions you may have about beginning a relationship with God, placing your faith in Jesus, or plugging in here at RiverTown.

Baptism is a public profession of your faith in Jesus.

It's "going public" with your commitment to be a Jesus-follower. It's telling the world that you believe in Jesus as your Savior and Leader. It’s the next step after your decision to follow Jesus.

Baptism does not make you a Christian.

Jesus does this through faith. We become Christians through faith in Jesus' work for us ... not through our work for Him. We become Christians by grace alone through faith alone in Jesus alone. While not essential, it is important. While it doesn't save us, it benefits us. People often have questions regarding baptism: Why should I be baptized? I’ve already been baptized as a baby, do I have to do it again as an adult? Does it matter if someone is sprinkled or dunked?

Email us at to find out more about baptism. One of our pastors or ministry leaders will get in contact with you. You can also find out more about baptism and what scripture says about it by attending our next Membership Seminar, RiverTown 101.

Through faith in Jesus, we become Christians.

As Christians, we are to be part of a church. As a church, we have the privilege to worship Jesus together, do life together, and serve the world together. As a church, we care for each other, pray for each other, encourage each other, and share with others the hope of Jesus. Committing yourself to be a member of RiverTown Church means that you are a partner with us in these experiences endeavors.

A person becomes a member at RiverTown through attending and participating in our Membership Seminar, RiverTown 101. At the membership seminar, you will discover more about RiverTown ... who we are, where we are headed, and what we are about. At the conclusion of the fun evening, you can decide to commit to RiverTown or continue to experience RiverTown at your own pace.
